Basic Information

After connecting the Source Table to your Project, the next step is the Fields tab in Project Settings for mapping appropriate columns from the Source Table to be visualized using a Map or Charts.
GLayer supports working with 5 different fields, each of them for a different kind of data.

  1. GeometryField:
The first field is used for geometry-related data only.
  2. LinearField:
This field is used mainly for dates (days) and time-related (hours, minutes…) data.
Intervals are displayed via this field.
  3. OrdinalField:
This field is used for data related to evaluation or categorization, for example, road quality rating with numbers 1 – 5.
This field can be used for preset intervals like years, months, and weekdays.
  4. CheckBoxField:
The fourth field is connected to the boolean data type that can only have true or false values, so the column in the Source Table has to contain true or false values.
  5. TextField:
The last field is used for Full-text search, which can be used to filter specific data right in the applications.
