Current digital twin models for Positive Energy Districts fall short in representing crucial aspects like social, economic, and environmental properties.
Aligning with the goal of harnessing quantitative soft data to advance digital twin development, InnoConnect in BIPED Horizon EU project provides technology for storing, filtering and visualising building occupancy data through interactive maps and charts.
InnoConnect is developing GLayer, a webbased data management system. The tailored version of GLayer will be integrated as a component into the digital twin system in the city of Aarhus, Denmark, which is the pilot location of the BIPED project.
In the current stage of the BIPED project, GLayer data platform is being utilized to visualise the modelled building occupancy data of study area in Aarhus, Denmark.
The source of the data is The Center Denmark Energy Platform (CDK platform). CDK provides access to energy-related data for Danish municipalities, project partner in the BIPED consortium. The data has been processed into the form of square blocks and anonymized in compliance with GDPR policy. We have put great effort to emphasize privacy protection aspects to prevent inferring any sensitive information about particular households in the investigated area.
BIPED is funded under the EU Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme. Grant ID: 101139060
