InnoConnect was selected by the European Commission as an exhibitor at the ‘Innovation & Startups’ village at the major IT industry conference, ICT2018, that was held in Vienna last week (December 4-6).
Hundreds visitors out of 5.000 people participating in the event had visited the InnoConnect booth, linked with the neighbouring Plan4all one, to test our analytical maps themselves, watch our video and exchange ideas on future business collaboration.
InnoConnect also supported the PoliVisu project team when organising the networking session ‘Visualise – Discuss – Decide’ focused on visualisation tools for policy making. The session was set as a role game during which participants had to play with a map based on the actual traffic accident data (visualise); break out into groups and investigate the situation from four different perspectives (discuss); and answer map related questions based on the visualisation provided (decide). The map used for the occasion was accidentsflanders.innoconnect.net, and the four groups were cycling charity, pedestrian group, motorists association and public authority.
The participants shared a very positive feedback about our app, and suggested several improvements which we’ll be turning into our development plan soon.
